Player-to-player trades

Trade with a checklist.

New traders usually need three answers: can I trade this, is this offer fair, and how do I avoid losing an item to a rushed or unsafe deal?

The safety reminders on this page follow the public TradingKeep Hypershot reference. Reddit eligibility reports are community anecdotes, not confirmed game rules.
01

Identify the item

Open the inventory details and confirm whether the duplicate is tradeable. A name alone is not enough when weapons, skins, and bundles are easy to confuse.

02

Check eligibility

If the trade window says ineligible, read the current in-game message first. Community reports mention requirements such as level or access, but those reports are anecdotal and can conflict.

03

Compare the offer

Use a dated community value list as a reference, then weigh demand, rarity, and whether you actually want the item. There is no universal official trade price table.

04

Confirm once

Before accepting, reread every item in the final window. Do not trust a last-second switch, a trust trade, or a deal that moves the payment off platform.

Trading without guesswork

The safest trade is the one you can reread.

Trading is not only a value question. It is a process question. A player can offer an item that looks expensive on a list and still create a bad trade if the category is wrong, the item is not currently tradeable, or the final window changes. Start with your own inventory and decide what you are willing to give up before opening a conversation. That makes it easier to walk away when another player applies pressure.

If the game says you are ineligible, record the exact message and check the live requirements around your account, inventory, and trading area. Community posts sometimes mention level, region, or access conditions, but those replies are not a stable rulebook. Do not pay anyone to unlock trading and do not share account details. A restriction that is unclear should be verified through the game, not bypassed through a stranger.

For fairness, compare like with like. Look at the same category, rarity, quantity, recent demand, and source date. A community value number is useful for noticing a large mismatch, but it cannot measure whether you want the item or whether the market is active today. The Values page on this site is therefore a dated reference, not an automatic trade calculator. Ask what the item is worth to you after you understand the current offer.

Finally, use the official trade window as the boundary of the deal. Confirm every item at the last step, watch for a last-second replacement, and reject trust trades or off-platform payment requests. If a player says you must hurry, move the deal outside the game, or hand over an item first, the correct answer is to stop. A slower trade protects more value than a perfect estimate made under pressure.

A good first trade is usually a learning trade, not the biggest trade you can find. Start with an item whose category and demand you understand. Notice how long it takes to find an interested player and whether offers repeat the same value range. This teaches you how active the market is without forcing you to risk the item you care about most.

When a value list and a player disagree, neither side automatically wins. Check the date, the item condition, the exact variant, and whether the offer is for a direct trade or a bundle. If those details cannot be made clear inside the game, the trade is not ready. Clear information and a calm confirmation are more important than winning a debate about one number.

Keep a simple trade record for your own decisions. Note the item name, the source date, the demand signal, and why you accepted or declined an offer. This turns every trade into better information for the next one. It also helps separate a genuine market change from a single player making an unusually high or low offer. The guide is most useful when it helps you slow down, ask for the missing detail, and make the final choice yourself.

Fair-trade check

Pause before you accept.

Both sides want the exact items shown

The item is tradeable in the live inventory

The offer still makes sense without an old value post

The final trade window has not changed

You are using the official in-game trade flow

Trade ineligible?

Capture the exact message, confirm the item is tradeable, check your current account and inventory state, then try the official trading area again. Do not pay someone to bypass a restriction.

Stop when the deal feels rushed.

Never use trust trades, last-second item swaps, or off-platform payment. A high value number is not protection against a bad process.

Value reference

Use values as context, not permission.

Community values can help you spot an extreme offer, but demand, date, quantity, and your own goal still matter. Check the source date before comparing.
